One should always put “the great” in front of Hal Blaine’s name….terrific documentary!

Hi Bill, I’m enjoying reading your post. One of the first sessions I didn’t win arriving in California was with Hal Blaine, I think it was after the glorious days of recording sessions, but he have some amazing stories. I got all the books from Carole Kaye when I was a bass player. When I first started out in bass, but I became a great session player and saxophone player in the Bay Area when I played it on multiple sessions for many years. Please check out some of my Stories on Substack. Had for many years with Long John Baldry throughout Canada, Australia, and Europe. Best wishes and enjoy your posts. In 2012 I was voted best keyboard player in the Maple blues awards, but I move to Spain in 2020.

I had a great conversation with John Baldry and Kathi McDonald in Victoria BC at a gig not long before he passed. Very few people were in attendance except for us who knew his history and influence so we were able to chat extensively between sets.
